When I started the 6 month program, my top three goals were to lose weight, eat healthier and workout more. Throughout the program, Brianne helped educate me on what I am putting in my body, and took the focus away from the number on the scale, and instead focused on other life events/day to day life to see how that was affecting me. Brianne is AWESOME. She isn’t pushy, and makes you come to realizations based on what you are saying. I couldn’t have gotten here without you! I will forever be thankful and grateful for the time you spent with me and the things that you have done for me!

  • If there is one thing that I’ve learned over the past year, it’s that this thing called ‘comparison’ is a deadly game. 🙅🏼‍♀️ Especially now with the availability of social media; it’s made it overly apparent how others are seemingly so far ‘ahead’ in their journey’s...which can seem brutally unfair and makes it extremely hard to recognize how far you’ve come in your own journey. 🤔 Plus, it also makes it hard to focus on the ‘positive’ in any given situation, which always causes more problems than good. 🙄

Flipping my mindset and implementing shifting tools has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself. 🙏🏻 By focusing on the positive each day and changing my beliefs, I have come to realize that I am unstoppable. When we eliminate the ‘obstacles’ and focus only on the outcome, we realize that nothing is out of reach in this lifetime. Whatever we can dream, we are capable of achieving. ✌🏻

It can seem next to impossible to let go of those negative/toxic thought patterns... but ultimately it’s the only way to see true growth. When you step outside that comfort zone of “fear of failure” or “fear of success”, big things happen.
.
Let me ask you this- if you were headed on a road trip and found out that a road was closed down, would you let that ruin your trip and turn around and go home? Or would you take the detour and/or find an alternate route? 🤔 You’d likely take the other route! 🙏🏻 So listen loud and clear babe... it’s not the road blocks that matter. Only the destination does.

And when you feel the need to compare your journey to someone else’s- just pause. 🙅🏼‍♀️ Remember that even if you are headed down the same path as someone else and you are going after the same goal- you both have different distances to travel and different road blocks to overcome. There is no comparison and the only competition is yourself.

You are incredible, beautiful, talented, important, enough, worthy and deserving. Shine your light as bright as you can, and keep on being you babe. Because, well, there’s only one you and we need you in this world 😘

One of the biggest challenges I have found with facing anxiety is the CONSTANT overwhelming urge to overthink everything. 🧐🤔😳🙄 ALL. THE. TIME. 🤯😑

“So and so, hasn’t responded to my text, are they mad at me?”

“Why does he/she seem so distant lately, have I done something?”

“Is he/she judging me for what I said last time we hung out?”

😓 Can you relate babe?! I used to be your classic case of overthinking. 🙈 I used to assume everything meant something more or different than what it actually did- and I’ll be the first to admit that that bad habit caused more than a few hiccups along the way 😑 It’s taken some serious practice to move past that, and I don’t ever want to look back down that road again. #positivemindsetmovement

If you’re currently stuck in that negative and deconstructive mindset babe- don’t worry, I TOTALLY get it. The thing that you need to recognize though, is that it doesn’t HAVE to be that way. 🙏🏻 You can let go of that constant urge to pick apart and overthink everything that’s said or done. And you can most certainly let go of that anxiety for good- feeling totally safe, happy and balanced. 💕

Changed up our usual routine today, and checked out the @stalbertmarket instead! It was great to walk outdoors, enjoy the sunshine, and see new vendors we haven’t before! 🥦🥬🥕🍅 Today we loaded up on organic carrots, kale, cauliflower, and broccoli, kombucha, and healthy chocolate cookies... because, well, balance 💁🏼‍♀️ Plus they have amazing ingredients, are plant based, and allergen free 🙌🏻💕

I highly recommend chatting with the farmers at each stand at farmers markets. Even if a place doesn’t have organic signs posted, they might adhere to organic practices and just not be certified. 🙏🏻 Quite often I’ve found, that even though farmers might use sprays on select crops, things like peppers and tomatoes will be pesticide free, grown with organic practices, in greenhouses. Ultimately, it’s up to you to do your research and purchase the produce you feel is best for you and your family 😘 I, personally choose as much organic as possible, and purchasing at a farmers market is a more affordable, and waste-free way of doing so ☺️🙏🏻

  • It’s summer. Or at least, it’s supposed to be summer. But over here in Alberta, we’ve been trapped in what seems like an ETERNITY of rain season. In the last two months I think I can count on one hand the amount of days it hasn’t rained. Which isn’t just depressing, but also totally unfair.

Anywhoooo, I am super excited because two days ago I posted my top tips for staying healthy during the summer while traveling, camping, attending festivals, going to BBQ’s, etc. And I'll be honest, it's one of my favourite blog posts yet!
.
Now, summer is usually one of the craziest seasons for being overwhelmingly-busy, and generally, our schedules are packed to the brim with activities, outings and more. Especially here in Alberta, our summer is such a short season that we want to make the absolute most of it. Unfortunately, that usually means that routines often get pushed to the side, stress increases to an all-time-high, and self-care becomes non-existent.

I can definitely relate to the hustle and bustle, and years ago I used to refer to the 3-4 months of summer as my ‘off season’… which, looking back on it now, definitely didn’t help my overall health or put me anywhere closer to my goals. It has taken me a few years to get to where I am now- and I am so happy to have the opportunity to share my wisdom with you babes, so that you can skip right to the success and results portion!
